ALAREDEFO Team Member

ALAVEMASI RELIEF AND DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION (ALAREDEFO) TANZANIA history dates back to 2013-2014 when Mr ALPHONCE ARONE SIKABENA struggled to establish the organization but due to various circumstances the process was delayed. Processes resumed in 2023, leading to its official founding and registration on 11th August, 2024 with registration number ooNGO/R/7231 as a Non-Governmental Organization. The foundation seeks to contribute towards sustainable community development and provision of relief services to most vulnerable communities/groups in both rural and urban Tanzania.

The acronym ALAVEMASI represents the names of family founding members which is read as ALPHONCE AVELINE MASSAWE SIKABENA. In ensuring the realization of the objectives, ALAREDEFO TANZANIA relies on membership fees, contributions, donations from development partners, profit from foundation's projects and affordable loans from the government and other financial institutions.

The foundation recruits members who are voluntarily ready to contribute in all organization activities and who are willing to pay allocated amount as membership fees and annual fees. The members before being engaged in any ALAREDEFO TANZANIA interventions will have to fill in an online form with terms and conditions for membership and thereby be recruited, accepted/terminated.

Why did the Chairperson come with the idea of establishing ALAREDEFO Tanzania?

Having been born as the only son of the late parents Mr & Mrs Arone Sikabena; Alphonce A. Sikabena in his life encountered various life challenges including being a victim of gender based violence in various walks of life. And seeing that regardless the challenges life has to move on, he came up with this foundation so as to support children, youths, women, elders, without neglecting men in their daily life through empowerment initiatives and provision of relief services to the neediest individuals in the community.

Call to Action

The Chairperson therefore calls each individual/corporate to participate in the cause to reducing and/or eliminating life hatredness in order to build a self-sustaining community that hardly rely on external support for their survivor throughout their lives on earth.
